A proper packing list can make race day logistics much less stressful.  Print this list out, check things off, and arrive at the start line calm, confident and ready to focus on just one thing – racing your best.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SWIM

  • Swimsuit (casual)

  • Swimsuit (training)

  • Defogger

  • Goggles (2 pair with tint for low/bright light)

  • Swimskin

  • Wetsuit

  • Wetsuit lube

  • Body Glide

  • Swim cap

  • Stretch cords

  • Flip flops

  • Water bottle & gel to consume at swim start

 

BIKE

  • Bike

  • Bike travel bag/box

  • Shoes

  • Cycling socks

  • Chamois cream

  • Pedals

  • Bibs/Shorts

  • Cold weather gear

  • Gloves (if necessary)

  • Aero helmet

  • Pump

  • Tools

  • Lubricant & rags 

  • Towel

  • Spare race tire and tubes (proper valve stem length)

  • GPS head unit

  • Fully charged drivetrain (electronic)

  • Heart rate monitor

  • Disc wheel pump adaptor

  • Scissors (to trim race number stickers)

  • Gel flask/Race nutrition

  • Water bottles

 

RUN

  • Race shoes

  • Training Shoes

  • Body Glide

  • Leuko Tape (prevents blisters when racing barefoot)

  • Shorts

  • Singlet

  • Cap

  • Orthotics

  • Race belt

  • Gel flask/race nutrition

  • Post race sandals

  • GPS watch

 

RACE MORNING & POST RACE

  • Racing suit/race top & shorts

  • Warm clothes for race morning 

  • Compression gear
